Review Of Dhurandhar – The Revenge!

 

I’m happy that long pending evolution of Bollywood has now been -> UPGRADED! While Dhurandhar Part-1 was the first indispensable inoculation; Dhurandhar Part -2 (The Revenge) completes that final dose, and hence, UPGRADED the much-needed evolution of Bollywood. I’ve already reviewed Dhurandhar Part – 1., thus watched the Second Part on Wednesday late evening. Means 4 Hours, and it passed like Whoosh! As usual, Thumbs-Up to the Cinematography. Afterall, in any Organization, more than the quality, the suitable recruits for that particular subject, matters. And it seems Bollywood has finally filtered the much-awaited recruitment strategy.

Coming back to Flick. It has tried to explain the many unanswered questions of Politics in the layman’s language. Like in writing of any algorithm or preparing flowcharts, the chronology of successive steps matters; similarly, in this flick, it has beautifully crafted that flowchart, and so as the algorithm, that works like charm when coded.

The FACES of the Characters, and the FAÇADE of the sets, are all synced without any further need of superficial decoration. It has tried to define where the liberalism or leftism should end, and the acceptance of the anticipated hypotheses or theories or even the truth, which in the end shall prevail. Again, don’t get surprised that today’s modern liberalism, which was never and would never be the true representation of liberalism at first place, may’ve also been theorized and planted by someone else. Especially in the age of this clickbait, social media earnings, solely based on number of clicks or followers. What this flick shows is still conventional.

I would say that Bollywood never made a movie like Dhurandhar – Part - 2, until today. And that was the reason since 90s, I had hardly watched any Bollywood movie, until today. This UPGRADATION was due! Albeit it was a long wait, yet, better late than never. At least, Bollywood now knows one thing, that there would be a comparative analysis done between whatever they make or create henceforth, VS, Dhurandhar (Part 1 & 2). And crossing this threshold point, the producers would’ve to read, re-read, and create that cinematography carefully, that has the potential to beat this flick, and to further upgrade themselves. Difficult Job indeed!

All said and done, and in accordance with the above words -> a must watch for everyone. 😊

REVIEW OF TEHRAN -> SEASON – 3

 

As in my earlier blog, I opined the difference between FAUDA and TEHRAN. While FAUDA was hyper realistic; TEHRAN is more contemporary synced with Subjective experiences. For example, take the case of relationship bonding between Faraz and Nahid. Means, I haven’t seen this kind of understanding between any couple, and that too in the region with conservative point of view, in my entire life. Then the relationship between Tamar and Nahid. Again, despite knowing the presence of distrust, there’s this Trust! What bothered me is one thing -> When the fight is going on between MOSSAD/IDF vs. IRGC/MOIS, then how come in the Third Season CIA’s context enters out of nowhere? As the guy Ramin who is against the Regime, and one day wants to join CIA? C’mon! He’s still not even CIA agent, but he’s doing all this to get noticed by CIA, one day to be Recruited by CIA! Excuse Me! Either the Creators should’ve shown him a Revolutionary against the regime, or, as the CIA agent acting against the Regime! This part I didn’t understand, where out of nowhere, they added this context in the script! No idea who forced whom to bring changes in the Script suddenly, but this created vacuum and more predictability in the Season - 3 , and that is my problem. BTW, RIP Dana Eden!

Moving forward, Series Tehran could be said to be more Liberal compared to series FAUDA. Maybe, FAUDA was based on another location!  

Adding James Hugh Calum as the South African NUKE Inspector, gave this anticipation to me before even watching the rest of the season, that he would be working for the IRGC, as the relationship between South Africa and Israel recently deteriorated, so it was no surprise to me, when his role was added! Yes, had James Hugh’s role been added as White American, and then working to build Nukes for the Regime, then that could’ve given a surprise in the end! Thus, at these two places, the Script basically became predictable, unlike the First Two Seasons that I watched, which I’ve already Reviewed in my previous blogs.  

Further, Sasson Gabay (Nissan) was as fascinating in Tehran, as Itzik Cohen (Gabi) in FAUDA. Furthermore, I would say that it is the relationship understanding of Faraz & Nahid, and further, the work of Tamar & Nissan, is what made Tehran a good watch. And had those predictable moments not been added in the Script, viz., the sudden CIA reference for no reason, as if an Advertisement been Floated openly for the Recruitment purposes, which again, shouldn’t have been done as that made the Script more predictable & incoherent, the Season - 3 would’ve been more captivating like the past two seasons.

All said and done, a good watch! 😊
